Share data lake assets with AWS Lake Formation permissions
- [Instructor] Now once we have attached the required permissions on our user, next step is to share this data using lake formation permissions. For that, let's go to lake formation console, in lake formation, just ensure that you have added your data lake admin user as your data lake admin. Now let's go to database, and look for database where we need to provide permission. So we want to share this customerdb database with our data scientist. So go to actions and then view permissions. So here, if you notice it already have permission to this data lake admin user, and it also has this IAM allowed principle. So why this entries coming here? Because when we set up our data lake admin, in data catalog settings, we check these boxes that use only IAM access control for new databases and use only IAM access control for new tables in new databases.
