- When you write, you should pretend that every word costs money. If you do that, you'd get rid of a lot of words that take up space but add little to no value. In this video, we're going to show you how to use AI to do two important parts of the editing process. First, AI will find and eliminate all of the unnecessary words and vague statements in your writing. Second, AI will tell us where we have the biggest opportunity to improve our writing. So let's jump in. In my workshop and writing experience, the most common language challenges are, first, clutter, also known as extra words or unnecessary words. Like 10 in the morning, blue in color, unexpected surprise. To eliminate redundancy, say 10:00 a.m., blue, or just surprise. Using passive instead of active language. Passive language does not say clearly who did what. Here's an example of passive language. "Instructions for the assembly "of the furniture were followed."
