Using the text layer override
- [Instructor] In this video we're going to take a look at utilizing the TEXTLAYER override. Now, you heard that right. There is a TEXTLAYER override in the AutoCAD mechanical tool set. We've got a drawing for you to work with. It's PUMP001 underscore Subassembly dot dwg. As usual, download it from the library to follow the video. Now, you're in the model tab and we're going to take a look at our layers. So I'm going to jump back to the home tab on the ribbon, like so. You'll notice at the moment, our current layer is the good old default layer '0,' and I'm going to leave it at that. That's our current drafting layer. Now if I type DIMLAYER, D-I-M-L-A-Y-E-R, that's the DIMLAYER override for dimension annotation. If I press 'Enter' now, you'll see that it's going to use the current layer. So, that "use current" in the little blue box there, if I just pressed 'Enter', it would use the layer '0,' the current layer…
