- [Man] With the release of Blender 281 and 282 over the past few months, we have seen a lot of new changes. Over the course of the next few weeks on Tips Tricks and Techniques, we're going to touch on some of the best ones, and trust me, I think you'll love them all. Now the simplest thing we can cover today is some of the UI improvements inside of the outliner and the File open dialogue box. Let's start with File open, if you come up here and go to File open, click on Don't save for now, and this will open the brand new Blender file view. You'll note that it looks totally different from the Blender 280 and all the other previous versions. It's actually more cleaned up and a lot easier to use. Now on the right, you can pull this over and you can see different buttons from what you might remember. That's our settings button, you can come over here and filter files.
