- An AI ethics statement is a public facing set of commitments an organization makes about how it will engage with artificial intelligence in a responsible way. And this statement lets the public know that you have thoughtfully considered the risks of AI, in addition to the benefits. For your staff, it also serves as a North Star to help guide them with making good decisions. Typically, these statements include high level principles, because they're intended to apply across the organization. You'll likely want to ensure you're addressing the most common types of AI risks, things like fairness, privacy, transparency, explainability, and accountability.
