- [Instructor] In this course, we explored foundations of business continuity and disaster recovery, or BC/DR, in modern cloud and AI environments. As businesses increasingly rely on cloud-based services and artificial intelligence, the stakes for resilience are higher than ever. Outages, cyberattacks, or even accidental missteps can disrupt critical analytics models and customer services making reliable recovery processes a must. We started by examining what makes BC/DR essential for AI-driven operations. Unlike traditional systems, cloud AI workloads involved a blend of complex data sets, train models, data pipelines, and distributed infrastructure. Protecting these assets means more than just backing up databases. It requires cataloging of every critical component, automating and scheduling backups, and setting up robust version control for code, models, and configurations.
