- [Instructor] There are a number of types of user account that you'll come across when you're working with Windows 11. The first is a local account. These reside only on the Windows 11 computer. In an active directory domain services environment, you'll typically find additional user accounts on domain joined computers. You'll also come across Microsoft accounts. I refer to these as Microsoft Consumer accounts. These are the ones that are related to a Hotmail or an Outlook type email suffix and come with a free five gigabytes of OneDrive space. Entra ID, sometimes referred to as Microsoft 365 accounts, become relevant when your computer is joined to Entra ID because your organization uses Microsoft 365 cloud services. Yu can manage local accounts in the following ways.
