- [Instructor] Annotations are a great way of highlighting something interesting within your data. Now, imagine the situation where you've been given your data set, you've done your analysis, you've picked the best charts to show off that data, and you've produced your dashboard. And during the course of your investigations, you found a couple of interesting outliers that you particularly want to highlight. How can we ensure that your viewer is actually going to see what you saw? So take the example of this dashboard. And what we've got is the map and the heat map, the timeline and the scatterplot. And there's two things in particular that kind of stand out in the timeline and that scatterplot. So in the timeline, we have this prominent point in January, 2022 where we made significant losses and that's our worst performing month.
