- [Instructor] Floating dashboards allow the freeform placing of elements anywhere inside your dashboard. This gives you the opportunity to be very creative with your layouts, but does require a little bit more work in terms of sizing and positioning, particularly if you want things to line up or be the same size. So let's have a look at how we would use floating objects inside the dashboard. The first thing you need to do if you're going to create a floating dashboard is set the dashboard to be a floating one. That option is on the bottom left hand corner of the view, so I'm going to change into Floating. So now anything that I drag and drop into my dashboard is going to be a floating object. So if I drag in my map, we have a floating map, and I can position this anywhere within my dashboard. If I get too close to the top, it will remove it. So we have to be careful where we actually put our control. We can't exceed the top boundary, otherwise it will disappear. But I can place my…
