(upbeat music) (air whooshes) (upbeat music) - So there are some other terms related to encryption and decryption that are used when we talk about cryptography. One of those is cryptanalysis. This is the study of how to break codes and ciphers. This is something that's done by law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies to read encrypted communications. Steganography is a form of encryption that hides information. It takes data in some form and embeds it in music, in pictures, or in the classic case, it was used for invisible ink. Steganography not only can hide messages, it can hide watermarks. This is similar to a watermark on stationery to indicate that it's official correspondence. There's now interest in embedding watermarks in AI-produced images and music to identify them as artificial.
