- For me, the cut page's strength is in the assemble and the early editing stages. As you put your thoughts together as you put your timelines together and notice I just said, timelines, multiple timelines, cause the way I like to work when I'm editing and doing something a little more long form is I like working in multiple timelines with each timeline dedicated to different thoughts or different types of footage. So what we're going to do in here in starting with chapter two is we're going to have different timelines for us to sort our thoughts before we can then start combining those thoughts into a final story. We're trying to get our arms around the whole thing understand what we have and what we like and trim away all the excess. So then when we start crafting our story we have some nice tight timelines with the specific footage we want to work with. So let's take a look in our project settings and under the general…
