Agile: Building a resilient team

- In the first iteration of our Agile implementation, we used techniques that made our individuals more effective. In our second iteration, it was time to build them up as a team. - The team members were seeing the value, but had some challenges settling into the new way of working. They asked for coaching on how to incorporate all these new practices efficiently. Some of the new team meetings, which Scrum calls ceremonies, were going off track and taking a long time, which frustrated people. - Yeah, okay, so here's the insight. The Scrum meetings initially would take a long time, often 'cause, you know, like a developer would interrupt and ask questions about someone else's work, or we would go off on this tangent and the whole meeting felt like it was hijacked. A lot of it wasn't relevant to everyone, and so that was an issue. So suddenly the 15-minute status meeting would balloon into this one-hour meeting.
