- [Instructor] Our drone technology is impressive, and it keeps getting better. Places that were once inaccessible to us are now available. Inspection is a key activity in nearly every industry. Equipment, facilities, and buildings all need inspection to evaluate safety, maintenance, and even operation. Drones can be used to help people keep safe distances, while at the same time provide a high-quality option for visual identification. Drones can reach places humans cannot, or places that are dangerous to human life. For example, drones are often flown by insurance companies right after severe storms to assess damage to property, to help evaluate claims. And just the other day, I was asked by a local church if I could fly my drone to help inspect their steeple. They suspected it was failing and wanted to see what was up there, so I flew it up there and we took a high-resolution look through the eyes of my drone.
