Using Page Break Preview and print setup options
In the previous movie, we showed you that you could start printing by selecting the data that you wanted to print, and then using some of the features on the Page Layout tab – Print Area primarily – to set the print area, and then use that button at the bottom of the screen, the middle button for Page Layout options as well. A completely different approach is, rather than selecting the data first, go to the lower right hand corner and choose the Page Break Preview button. And it's helpful here sometimes to zoom out. That lower set of buttons in the lower right hand corner, the plus and the minus, the zoom slider bar, indicates here's what Excel would print if we decided to print right now. Let's say that what we really want to print is the information in columns A through H. So if we slide the mouse over the solid blue line on the right, we can click and drag this leftward using the left mouse button. Drag it right to the boundary between H and I.
