Calculate values in a PivotTable

Calculate values in a PivotTable

- [Instructor] You can create your own formulas and calculations in a PivotTable. Here, I have my product categories and the amount that was sold of each one. We're going to donate 1% of the total sold. I need to calculate what that number is. Change to the PivotTable Analyze tab and click Fields, Items, & Sets. From here, choose Calculated Field. Give your field a name. And in the formula area, you can put in your own field. I'll say quantity times 0.01 for 1%. I'll click OK, and here's my amount of units that are going to be donated. I can click on the column header and change the title. It includes it in the PivotTable field list. And in the values area, I can scroll down and see my new field.
