- [Instructor] Bar charts are one of the best way to displays differences in quantities, and they're a part of many dashboards. And, in the process of creating this bar chart, I'm going to show you how Tableau's aggregations work. So, to start this lesson, you'll want to open up a new sheet and we're going to rename it. Let's call this one Bars and click Enter. So, to start creating our bar chart, move the measure, Estimated Losses, to the Row shelf. And what you've just created, is just a single bar measuring the sum of every value in your workbook. We know this is a sum because right here, on the pill, you see the aggregation Sum. Tableau supports many aggregations, and if you'd like to change them you click the down arrow on the pill, scroll down to where you see Measure, and in parentheses the word Sum, and you'll see that Sum is checked. You could also select Average, to get the average of every row in your data.…
