From the course: Getting Started as a LinkedIn Learning Admin

Overview of the Insights tab

- [Presenter] The new and improved Insights tab, up at the top, is your go-to resource for understanding how your learners are engaging with the platform and the impact that it's having across your organization. In order to get there, I can navigate to the Insights tab up at the top. If I hover over it, I can see the different categories here. Now I'm going click on the top one, which is Engagement. And this brings me to my Insights page. Up at the top, I'm on the Engagement tab, but I can navigate to the other ones by clicking on them. I'm going to go back to Engagement and off to the right then we can see things like the engagement highlights. So the percentage of learners logging in. Average video views per viewer and average hours per viewer. Now, I don't have a lot of data in this account because it is a fictitious account, but as you get your account rolling, you'll have a lot of very useful data inside of here. Now if I scroll down, I can see Activity highlights, Learning content highlights, Most popular content. Now off to the left, you'll see the different filters. So I can filter this by date range, maybe I want to look at the last month, maybe the last year, or I can go with a custom date. Click here and then set that start and end date. I'm going to go back to six months. I can also look at benchmarks, so how we compare to industries that have similar sizes and are in the same industry. So you could go in there and see how you compare. And then you can also search for specific groups to see how groups within your organization are doing. In this case, right now I'm looking at all learners, but I could go in here and start typing one and then select that specific group that I wanted to go look at. Now up at the top, you'll also have the Activation tab. Here we can see the activation highlights, total seats you have, total that are activated, the activation rate, and so on. You have recommendations. A couple times in this course I've mentioned that my suggestion is to recommend or assign content to people because then you can track their performance. Now here's where you track that. So these are some of the things that I sent out to people and either assigned or just recommended, but because I did so, I can now track that by going to the Recommendations tab and seeing them here, and see when it was sent, the due date, how many people have completed it. Not a very good completion rate there yet, but like I said, this is a fictitious account. And then over here, More, I can view details, edit the due date, download detail report, or delete it. And then up at the top, we finally have Reports. Here you can access detailed reports for in-depth analysis and data export, and they have a lot of different topics as you can see here. Now, we'll look at reports in the next video. So take some time to explore the Insights tab and find the information that's most relevant to you and your organization.
