- [Instructor] The GitHub Advanced Security exam mentions, in passing almost, the on-premises edition of the GitHub application stack, and that is GHES, or GitHub Enterprise Server for short. Essentially, I want you to know for the exam that the local version of GitHub for businesses who need to fully self-host their GitHub experience is largely the same as GHES, GitHub Enterprise, or GHEC, excuse me. All these acronyms tend to collide with each other. GitHub Enterprise Cloud, the cloud-based version.
