- When you go to composite something and after effects with a chroma key, you may find yourself needing to tweak the background. Maybe you want to adjust things so the colors are a better match. Let me show you some of the things we can do within the keying effect itself, as well as things you might want to try before or after to get a better composite from foreground to background. One of the biggest tell signs that things aren't working is when your background doesn't match the brightness levels of your subject. Here, we have a subject that was photographed indoors and he was shot on a green screen. The background though is significantly brighter than him and it really stands out. So what we want to do is tweak that.
