Building other common feature templates
- [Instructor] In this lesson, we're going to continue to build on some of the common feature templates so that we can get to the point where we can build out our own device template. So, the first thing I want to talk about is the CLI add-on template. So, early on when they first came out with a solution, if there was a certain feature or command that you need to have enabled, but it didn't exist in a feature template, what that meant was you could not use the feature template, you had to use a CLI template, which mean you had to get the exact context exactly correct. And this caused a lot of heartache with a lot of our customers. So, what we did was back in 20.1.1, we added in the capability for a CLI add-on template and this is going to be a feature template. So, if there is a command that is missing, you can kind of go back and add in the feature template. Now, the caveat with that is it needs to be an approved command.
