Summarize data with charts

With Google Sheets, you can use charts and graphs to present and summarize data. Each chart type represents a different way to display data and can be customized with background colors, fonts and more. The chart types in Google Sheets include line, column, bar, pie, histogram, and scatter. To create a new chart, select the relevant range of cells to include. Open the insert menu and select chart. The chart editor panel will open on the right side of the sheet. From the setup tab, select a chart type from the dropdown list. Each chart type has a colorful image that visually represents what the chart can look like. Other options depend on the chart type you choose. Each chart must reference a data range, and a chart will automatically change as you modify the options in the chart editor panel.
