Overview of the Security Concepts and Practices Domain

- The SSCP exam includes coverage of seven different domains of cybersecurity. The first of these domains is called security concepts and practices, and it accounts for 16% of the questions on the test. In the videos that follow, I'll walk you through all the concepts that you need to know about security concepts and practices. You'll learn about the importance of complying with the codes of ethics that govern our profession. We'll review the major concepts of cybersecurity, including confidentiality, integrity, and availability. I'll explain how you can document and maintain functional security controls, and we'll discuss the asset management lifecycle for hardware, software, and data. You'll learn how to support the change management lifecycle, and that's just a small sampling of the many topics that we're about to cover. All right, let's get rolling.
