- [Narrator] Now it's time to build a dataset for our prototype. We'll use a combination of recording custom samples of our keyword and uploading existing data. Let's go to Edge Impulse to see how this works. You can build your dataset from existing data or you can collect new data. In our case, we're going to collect new samples of our keywords shieldup. To do that, click on the Collect New Data link in the Getting Started section. Edge Impulse gives you the choice of collecting data from a smartphone, computer, or directly from your Edge device. Any of these will work. But collecting from a smartphone or computer are easiest. I'm going to use the computer. The web application that launches will allow you to collect image, data, audio, or motion data. In our case, we're collecting audio data. You may be asked to grant access to your microphone. There are three options to set before you collect data. A label, a sample length, and a category. We're collecting samples of the shieldup…
