Delete a column
From the course: Microsoft Power Apps: Using the Dataverse (Formerly the Common Data Service)
Delete a column
- If I create a new column and immediately decide that I need to get rid of it, I can do that, as long as I haven't used it anywhere else. I can't delete columns that are built in to Dataverse but I can delete columns that I created. So, if I just want to change this display name I can change that. I can even change its data type. But I can't change its name. So one reason to delete a column and recreate it, is the name that I chose isn't descriptive enough and will be misleading to other people who are trying to use this, or perhaps it'll be misleading to me in the future. So deleting a column that I created right away that works. So, model for example, I should be able simply to delete. I can click the model button, and choose delete column, and right now, Power Apps is checking for dependencies. It says there are dependencies on this column that are preventing it from being deleted. Well, what's the dependency?…
