Get the most out of Power Automate
- [Instructor] Power Automate has only been around for a few years, but it's becoming more and more integrated into the Microsoft 365 environment all the time. Originally, if you wanted to create a flow you had to open the Power Automate application in 365 and build it from there. However, these days, a lot of apps in 365 have automation already built in. For instance, in SharePoint you can create flows directly from lists and libraries. They not only have traditional flow building, but there are some cool wizards that they've provided that make things easier. You can also create automated workflows in Teams and in 365 lists, plus other places as well. There are more templates ever, with connectors to more applications both inside and outside the Microsoft product environment. They've also been adding more and better triggers to fill some of the gaps from the past. And you definitely want to add the Power Automate app to your mobile device, doing so will allow you to create some really cool flows to improve personal productivity and generally make your life smoother. I'm not going to walk you through installing the mobile app, but it's pretty straightforward and it's available for both Android and iOS. Just check out the normal places and get it. Now, I do think you should have at least a little bit of background with Microsoft 365 before you go too much further, but the beauty of Power Automate is that it doesn't take a developer to create automated processes; just someone with the ability to logically think through the steps of a process and use the power of the tool as the engine for creation.
