Windows Defender Application Control policy
- [Instructor] One way we can control what applications end users can install and run is using the App Control Policy Wizard. Now this used to be called the Windows Defender Application Control, but it has been recently renamed. So you can just do a quick search for this and you'll get this page from Microsoft and we can go ahead and download the Wizard installer. The installer has downloaded. It's a fairly small installation, so we'll go ahead and run it. And there's our Wizard. So I'll click Install. If you get a metered message, you can choose whether or not to continue. I don't have metering on my particular server or computers, but it thought it detected it anyway, so we can just ignore it. We also get the message to install .NET Desktop Runtime. So I'll go ahead and choose to download and install it. And I'll double click to install in my Downloads folder. I'm running this on a Windows server, but you can also run it on a desktop if you'd like. And the installation was…
