- [Instructor] During your second day on the job, you gather key engineers, the team leads, product managers and the CTO to better understand the current challenges. You know already that a re-architecture and a move to microservices is on the table. But you still don't know exactly why. And it seems risky to start going while not really understanding the problems they are trying to solve. How would you ever be able to measure if you succeeded if you don't have to go and let it down? So you ask the people in the meeting in a brainstorm fashion and they come up with the following challenges or goals and you put them on a whiteboard. So the first thing you hear is they want to move everything to the cloud. But it's unclear to you why this came up. What are they trying to solve with this? Why do they want to do this? So you add one more column and call it value. And you add a ranking between zero for low and five for high.…
