- Conflict. It's a word that often makes us cringe and feel bad. As an introverted project manager, it can be hard to deal with disagreements and negotiations. It's important to keep in mind that disagreements are not always about people. Sometimes team members just have different ideas or don't understand each other. Before making a decision about how to handle a disagreement as a project manager, you should take a step back and try to see it from both sides. For example, if people on your project team are arguing, take a step back and listen carefully to try to understand their points of view. Use your ability to think things through to analyze the situation. Then, react with empathy and understanding to create an atmosphere where a solution can happen.
