- [Instructor] I'm in backup exec and I want to convert my server that I've backed up here at 21.210 to be a virtual machine and this has a lot of advantages. For one, if your physical computer has broken and you don't have a replacement, you can convert it to be a virtual machine. Or in case you're just migrating all your servers in that direction, then this works as well. So you see I have a successful full backup, so now I'm going to go to convert to virtual. So if I've had multiple different backups, I could choose which backup I'd like to convert to a virtual machine, but I just have the one, so I'll choose a one-time convert to virtual machine and I need to click on the edit on the right hand side to go to the conversion settings, because you have more than one option here.
