Stabilizing your shaky video
- Sometimes shaky footage is unavoidable. Maybe you're chasing the action or you're dealing with a handheld camera, but it can easily be fixed during post-production. There's a lot of options out there, but I'm going to show you one that's built in Premier Pro called Warp Stabilizer. It's also in After Effects and there's lots of other stabilizers out there for most video editing tools. Most of these have a few options, so let's look at four scenarios and how to quickly fix 'em. Now, in this case, I've already got the effect applied. So I'm going to come to Effect Controls and turn off the Warp Stabilizer. If you look at the footage, you'll see that this is an example of someone trying to just shoot handheld footage, but they didn't have a tripod. So you notice how the background kind of drifts around.
