What you should know
In this course, we'll be exploring the basics of using and running a Linux system through the lens of Ubuntu Desktop Linux. Different distributions often operate in slightly different ways, and we won't be concerned about those differences here. This course is about Ubuntu, and we'll try to use default settings and tools that the Ubuntu maintainers provide. This course is intended to show you the fundamentals of working with Ubuntu so you can expand your knowledge in whatever direction you need to, whether that's digging deeper into networking or storage or providing services or another administrative focus. I do expect you to be a little familiar with using a computer already, whether that's Windows or macOS or Desktop Linux.
