- [Instructor] Inside of our DNS Zone Databases, we have what's called resource records. And these resource records, are what allow us the ability to perform name resolution and actually even some other services, as we get deeper into the different record types. We'll see how that works. Speaking of record types, there's many different record types available, but what I want to talk to you about here is just a very simple name lookup record, or what's known as a host record and also the associated pointer record, which is a reverse lookup record. To demonstrate this, I will tell you I am on the DNS manager here on member one. And if I expand forward lookup zones, you will see that I have a zone that I created as a primary zone on this server called "child.landonhotel.local".
