- The next tool I want to show you is an interesting one. It's called the Active Directory Schema and the way we access it is not going to be the way we access all of the other tools. And there's actually a good reason for that. So let's start off with where we are. Right here we have the server manager on DC1. I'm going to go up to the tools menu. This is where we've gone for everything else. And we have all of our tools here. They're alphabetical, Active Directory. Oh, there's no Active Directory Schema. It doesn't exist there. Right. Okay. So how do we get to this tool? Well, the way we get to the tool is by creating what's called a custom MMC. All right. So I'm going to go ahead and click on Start and I'm going to type in CMD to open up a command prompt. Now you don't necessarily have to do this to get to a custom MMC I just want to show you.
