Enable storage encryption by using Azure Disk Encryption
- We can encrypt our Azure disk storage and it also allows us to manage our own keys or let Azure manage those security encryption keys, and it works in a very similar way as encrypting your own on-premises equipment except for you do it within the Azure portal. So I'm in my Azure portal and I'm going to do a search for something called Key Vaults. So I'll choose the Key Vaults option and the key vault is going to allow me to create the key vault so I can then move on to encrypt my data. I'm going to choose my default subscription. I can either create a new resource group by clicking on Create new or choose an existing one if I've already got one. I've got lots of different resource groups, so I'll just go ahead and choose one at random, and now I need to give the key vault a name.
