at one time in my life (25 yrs ago or so) I was rejected by a woman and i could tell by day 1 that i was not her charming prince, but she carried me along as if we had mutual feelings (i ws crazy about her), but as time went on i knew i had to leave the relationship....for my sanity and my ego
